Beyond the regulatory/reimbursement requirements for health economics, there is a growing need to provide locally relevant financial information to customer organisations. Building on our experience with the economic requirements for Health Technology Appraisals (HTA), we are also able to develop local market access tools.
Examples of this approach include:
Budget impact tools: usually Excel based, these tools allow the market access representative to model the effect of health technology introductions on local health economies, allowing adaptation for the individual circumstances of purchaser organisations.
Formulary inclusion support pack: these facilitate the process of formulary application for a locally recruited clinical champion. Combining information on disease area epidemiology, treatment-specific benefits, cost effectiveness analysis and output from local budget impact assessment, these packs provide all the information required to undertake a submission to the local Drugs and Therapeutics committee
